My anti-new year's resolution.

source

Every New Year everyone including myself come up with a list of changes that would like to make. Most of these changes tend to be these awesome and positive changes people want in their life. Some people are able to make these changes and then others can't and they feel SO guilty.

Well.. I have decided to make a list of habits I have NO intentions on changing. It's my anti-new year's resolution.
 1. I have a really bad habit of leaving coffee cups and drinking glasses everywhere in my apartment. I'm pretty confident this is not going to change in fact I may just buy more cups!

2. I wear socks to bed. My feet are almost always cold and so I wear socks but at some point in the night they fall off my feet and they are buried in my covers. What's the bad habit? I don't bother to find the socks after I wake up. Drives my boyfriend INSANE. Thats ok..not changing it anytime soon unless my feet aren't cold anymore.

3. I leave the kitchen cabinets open. It's an awful habit and it seriously looks like a scene from The Sixth Sense.

4. folding my laundry after it dries. This is not going to happen at all. I really really hate doing my laundry and now that we have our own washer and dryer, I am even more lazy about drying and folding.

Alright, I can only think of 4 but I'm sure there are others Ryan would like to add.

Do you have any bad habits you have no intentions on changing? Be honest!

  1. Hahaha, this is hilarious. My husband leaves his cups and glasses all over the place, too, and it drives me insane! His favorite spot is under the coffee table in the family room. He puts them on the floor so "nobody knocks them over", but then he forgets about them for a few days until I find them in a little group. It's weird.

    Happy New Year!

  2. This is a GREAT post!! I'm not going to make the bed. Drives my husband nuts, but after 33 years of marriage, it's not going to happen now!

  3. This is too funny. I also hate doing laundry and will let it pile up forever. I probably won't change that either. I bought a pretty and large hamper a while ago to hide it all. I also am really terrible at calling people back or even just answering the phone. Most people who know me well accept this already, though some are still determined to change this bad habit of mine. It's not likely to happen any time soon cause I hate talking on the phone. That's why we invented email/texting. Happy New Year, Ayla!!

  4. I love your list, what a great idea!!
One bad habit I know I will never change is hanging things on door knobs. I hang my coats, purses (even ones I'm not using), clothes, grocery bags on door knobs all over my house. I figure if it's off the floor my house is clean :)

  5. I love your coffee cups, I do that with water bottles. That can be mine, not to stop my collection of water bottles. And empty ones laying around. That and buying clothes.

  6. Wow! Every single habit that you've listed is a habit (a rather big one) that I have. I'm horrible at leaving cups around, especially when I can't finish what I've poured. I'm awful at shutting the cabinets! Laundry? Day's go by with clothes in the dryer that I have yet to fold. Sometimes I just put them in baskets and forget about them. Not to mention all the socks I am positive are somewhere in the floor or under my bed! lol

I love your way of thinking! Haha!<3

  7. Since we moved the laundry to the basement I have developed a habit of forgetting it, even though I don't really mind doing the laundry. I am working on it a little bit! My bad habit I won't be changing is how much time I spend online in a day. I cannot help it. I love to check out all my different sites and pages and it drives my hubby crazy at times but I can't help it. :)

  8. I almost ALWAYS wear my socks to bed too...and I often wake up with one or two missing. Sometimes I recover them, other times I don't. I never wear matching socks anymore-half of them get lost (probably in the blankets!).

  9. crack me up. I never wear socks to bed. and on the rare occasion that i do, when i wake up....it's just not right. NO doors open in the kitchen!!! drive me nuts if they're open. I cannot sit and relax if I see one door even cracked open. I may need counseling for that.

  11. Lmao! This is a good list, great idea! I can think of lots of things that I won't change. I think I shall start with continuing to yarn splurge, oh how I spoil myself! Lol :D

  12. You gave me my laugh for the day. I'm a clutter bug and don't even know how to change the habit. I can't stay out of thrift shops and don't intend to stop. My craft room is a mess. Glassware, plates, etc. all over the floor and every other flat surface. I make garden art and cake stands. Used to drive my hubby nuts and I told him I would give up my hobby a year ago. NOT! I found that I'm addicted to the point I need intervention. Probably still bothers him, but he's given up the battle.
