What I have been up to lately

I can't remember the last time I did an "what I have been up to lately" I have been surprisingly busy   lately trying to get some new product in my shop soon.(I'm happy to say I'm done with some stuff and will be listing soon)

Other stuff has been going on such as I'm currently out of school for good(yay!) and I'm only working one job(that hasn't happened for two years now). I guess you could say that I'm working two jobs if you include my shop but it's so fun I can hardly say it's work. The holidays are over and cold weather is officially here. I only have one glove and I'm not sure how that happened. I used to have multiple pairs include a colorful pair I stole from my baby sister and now I seriously I have 'one' glove. Good thing I managed to find a pair of fingerless gloves I made a year ago. Those are going to come in handy now.

I have also have been really active on the interwebs. Sadly, Facebook has taken a backseat and Twitter has become a new addiction. If you don't already, follow me here. I want to say big WELCOME to all of my newest followers. You are all welcome to comment and say whatever or just hi.

I also participated in a 'reject' swap with Kristen over at Milo and Molly. Basically me and bunch of  other bloggers swapped items that either did sell, we couldn't sell, didn't feel awesome selling, or whatever. This was just to help clean out our closets and add more stuff. I must say though I got really lucky. I don't understand how these things were 'rejects'. Check out what I got below..

My first batch was from Mary at Inside My Hideaway. She sent this cute little pouch with a moth(butterfly) embroidered on it. SO adorable. I also got a cute butterfly pin that I can't wait to put some stuff. It's so tiny! Also, which I love is this print of cupcakes. She doesn't even SELL prints in her shop and I must exaggerate this because she REALLY should starting selling her photos. They are amazing. I can't wait to put this up in my apartment. My white walls are looking for some artwork.

Next up is Paige from Little Nostalgia. I got some awesome jewelry.  I really love the yellow flower ring. Can't wait to pair it up with some stuff. I also like the bracelets. They are so simple that you really can wear with anything. With Spring coming up these items are perfect. You should check out her shops here and here

Lastly, I got some awesome prints from Amanda over at Dragon Flight Dreams. Everyone must have known my walls are really desperate for artwork. I really love the silver elephant! The paper is so delicate it feels ancient. Yes. I love it. Check out more artwork and other items here.

I got my items yesterday and it really felt like Christmas. So many beautiful items in the mail for me!

I also got this card for my baby sister. Her birthday is a in a few days(I can't believe she's turning 17!) and she is having a 'The Avengers' themed party. She is in love with Loki aka Tom Hiddleston and I thought a Loki birthday card would be perfect for her. Don't worry I'll make a point to mention that Tom is in my perfect age range. He is absolutely gorgeous.

I also bought this cute card from Heidi over at Row House 14. I can't wait to give this to Ryan because I'm constantly telling him he has a cute butt. You should also check out her blog

I also bought some other stuff but I won't post pictures of those yet because they are for my best friend and she occasionally pops in on my blog and I don't want to give her gift away. Besides of all this money spending I have been working on changes with sponsorship on my blog and the direction of my blog. Anyway if you are interested in a blog ad swap don't hesitate to email me at eyelah@gmail.com!

Happy Hump Day!

  1. Thanks for the kind words, Ayla! This post just made my day. :) This reminds me I have to post about Paige's stuff too. Also, I saw your post about changing the size of ads so I will try to do that this week. Stay warm! Seriously, the wind chill was like 2 degrees this morning. I have been living in a cocoon of blankets this week.

    1. You don't have to worry about the size of your ad. It's at the new correct size. If you want to change it to something else that is also cool too. It's been so cold here! I have layers of clothes on.

  2. Yay! I'm glad you liked the prints! :-D Looks like you got some other great stuff, too. I got a package from Paige, too, and felt totally spoiled - I couldn't believe they were rejects! I thought this swap was a lot of fun- I'm hoping Kristen organizes another one in a few months (because you know we'll have more extra/rejects by then). I still have to do my post about the swap, but I think one package is still in transit to me.

Hope your fingers stay warm! :)

  3. I'm so glad you liked the jewelry! I figured you would dig the bright yellow. :-) I still need to blog about all of the cool stuff I got from everyone, since everything was amazing. Hopefully we can all do something like this again!

P.S. I'm a Loki fan, too. Awesome card.
