I would say Happy Friday but somehow my Friday became my Sunday. I know confusing. Well.. let me explain. I work Sun-Wed, off Thurs, Work Fri, and then off on Saturdays. It took a while to get into this routine especially since I was used to have a Mon-Fri 9-5 type gig. But, since those type of work weeks are slowly ending for the general public, I work a non-traditional week now.
This week a co-worker asked if I can switch my Wednesday schedule with their Saturday schedule. It works out for the both of us because he is off on Sunday and I am off on Thursday so we both get an actually weekend. (just for this week though). I agreed to it because I have been losing my patience with customers so it was really great I could not be at work. Thankfully a large part of my job is actually responding to chats/emails so customers can't actually hear the inflection of my voice.
Having 2 days in a row was great. I really felt I had time to think and get a lot of my 2nd job work done. I actually made and listed 5 new pouches during that time. It was great to get so much work done. It was very relieving because my desk has been littered with so much shit that I just had to get it done and cleaned up.
Now, it's Friday and I have to work today until next Wednesday. The really good thing about work is it allows me to read your blogs. I get a lot of opportunities to catch up on my blog reading while I'm there so I'll be a commenting beast!

I am really happy the way these pouches came out. It took me forever to learn to do pleats properly and then even longer to duplicate my work. More importantly it took me a while to find a size pouch that I like. I have been testing out different sizes and I just haven't been happy until now. I guess that is why it was easy to make so many at a time. It's becoming a little factory in the Brown-Duve household.

ReplyDeleteI used to have a wacky schedule like you when I did radio. It changed every few months, too, so as soon as I got used to it, another person would get fired or whatever and we'd all have to shuffle around to make up for it. Fun times.
